I will leave you with this as a little teaser. Its the intro for my next album called GRAVITY. I feel like this track shows the sonic leaps I have made as an artist. Let Me Talk To You

This track is an adaptation from the original release on the EP Sober. During my first years of sobriety, I was facing a lot of obstacles, especially relational hurdles. I wanted to rerecord the song for this record to do more justice for the intended vision of the song when I first recorded it. A lot of these feelings and ideas I still embody today.

It's About That Time

I cowrote this song with a classmate. I've been trying to locate him to give him some credit for this song, but we have lost contact over the past few months. During school we recorded this for a group project and it turned out to be one of my favorite songs on the record. The music speaks for itself...."won't even know whats hap'nin thats how good it feels!" (lyrics taken from the chorus)

That's How Good It Feels

The crowd sample in this song was taken from a church service @ my home church in Seattle, Wa. I wanted listeners to feel like they were watching a live show. Each element builds upon one another until you are swimming in sampled Mellotron strings right after the first chorus. I want people to take a ride with me in music and learn more about who I am as an artist and who they are experiencing my music for the first time.

The Ride

When I was just 10 years old my sister introduced me to Maxwell's Urban Hang Suite. It was a life changing moment for me. I would have to say that my sister is one of the most influential persons in my life regarding musical taste. I love how hard she works and how cool she is! There is no one like her! This song is for you sis! I love you and I cherish every moment we spend together.

I Know How It Is

As a recovering addict, I've had to really work hard at changing my habits and the ways that I engage the world around me. In my own personal journey, a lot of that is surrounded around suppression. The results are good and bad. This song is a tribute to that inner battle.

Regulated Me

Originally this was a demo that I posted on my instagram page. I liked it so much and I received so much feedback about the way that it sounded I decided to make a full song out of it. I was in Priest Lake, Idaho with my family when I first strung together the chords and the melody. At the end of the song there is a guitar solo section that is heavily influenced by my love of Jazz music.

Famous

When I first started school I was experimenting with some new techniques and I wanted to use some appregiated synths. I started with the bass and I loved it. What came next was the intro vocal. All the lyrics were true. I was drowning in school, recovery and trying to be a good husband all at the same time. Life was full and I was trying to catch up.

Somebody Help Me Please

Thank you to Jeff Kashiwa for taking out the time in his busy schedule to come into the studio and play on my track. That insane Sax solo your hearing is one of my mentors Jeff Kashiwa. I wanted a hard hitting 4 on the floor track to smash through your speakers and we got it. I asked Jeff to come in and on his first take he nailed this solo! No problems for a pro like Jeff.

All The Same

My mother used to have a saying when I was growing up. She would say, "Some day the stars will fall!" It meant sometimes things look really good up front, but eventually you will start to see the cracks and the flaws. I decided to add a line after that saying, "And where will you be? Right beneath them!". Its stresses my theme about the the world and my relationship with it. At first its a little discouraging, but in the end that's the way it is anyways. Acceptance is the key.
