ONE MORE DASH mobile game soundtrack

Natational Geographic Documentary. Episode 6. Feat Photographer :Richard I’Anson
Series created, directed and filmed by Abraham Joffe for Canon and Nat Geo Channel.
Jared composed all the music for Episode 6 of the documentary series sharing the composition duties with friend and composer Blair Joscelyn who composed the music for all other episodes in the 6 part series. 

This 3 min edit features excerpts from the 23 min adventure travel photography documentary. All music composed, performed, recorded and mixed by Jared Underwood. 

This was an exciting project for Jared to work on. The captivating scenery shot in Tibet, The Himalayas, and India was a joy to compose music to. It required Jared to musically underscore the photographer’s journey and challenges in dramatic & adventurous locations. The score needed to enhance the viewer’s emotional connection with the photographer on his journey to get the ultimate photo. The music also had to be sympathetic to the geographical landscapes and cultural rituals that are the subject of the documentary’s featured photographer Richard I’Anson. 
Jared drew upon his extensive knowledge and practical musical skills as a percussionist to underscore a large section of the documentary that featured an exuberant street festival, The festival of Colours, in Vrindavan, India. 

The 6 part series presented by CANON and National Geographic aired on Foxtel Australia and New Zealand in May/June 2015.

Spring Step by Batterie

'Jump Start' is a fast energetic instrumental glitch pop electronica track by BATTERIE. 

'Jump Start' is the second single for BATTERIE following on from 'Spring Step'. 
The track features wildly syncopated interlocked live drum kit and percussion grooves, energetic synthesisers recorded though vintage guitar amps, and warm electric bass. A toy keyboard comes in with a whimsical melody over the whole kit and caboodle to top it off. 
It was recorded in Protools in Sydney and mixed and mastered by the most excellent Bob Scott.     
BATTERIE is the solo electronica and live performance project of musician, producer Jared Underwood. BATTERIE performs as a one man show around Sydney.

 Jared Underwood is an award winning composer and musician. Since graduating from the Sydney Conservatorium of Music as a classical percussionist, he has been creatively engaged in a wide variety of musical and artistic collaborations with film makers, fashion designers, artists, contemporary dancers, bands and musicians. In 2012, Jared completed a Graduate Certificate in Screen Music at AFTRS and is now pursuing a career in film music composition.

Writing under the name BATTERIE (his solo electronica act) he recently wrote the complete game soundtrack for iphone game OTTTD released on the App store May 2014. 

Jared was the 2013 winner of TropScore a film score competition part of TropFest. There were 900 entries to the competition and Jared performed his score live to picture at the film festival to an audience of 80,000 people. 
Jared won ‘best original score’ in TROPFEST  2011- ‘The worlds biggest short film festival’  for the film A Desperate Deed by director Matt Bird. 
In June 2011 Jared won the Jury choice gold medal at the Park City Film Music Festival (Utah -USA) for his score to ‘Cold Sore’ also by director Matt Bird. 

As a member of Sydney cinematic pop band CODA for 12 years, CODA have been twice nominated for an ARIA award. Coda’s music has also been used for TV and Film, one recent film being ‘Red Hill’. and Jared was a member of Sydney post rock band PROP whose members Kim Moyes and Julian Hamilton went on to form The Presets. 

As a collaborating musician Jared has worked in the studio along side –  Stefan Skarbek (Lily Allen, Amy Winehouse), Daniel Johns (SilverChair), Luke Steele (Empire Of The Sun), Hugo Race (Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds), Antony Partos (composer for film Animal Kingdom), Jono Ma (Los Valentinos), Grafton Primary, The Herd, Melanie Paine (Nuvelle Vague). 

As a live performer Jared has played with - The Whitlams, Grafton Primary, Delta Goodrem, Brian McFadden, Lovers Electric, King Tide, Lenka, Ian Moss, The Sydney Symphony Orchestra, The Brisbane Symphony Orchestra, Jenny Morris, The McClymonts, Jimmy Little.
