Lady Boy is the debut album of Kenyan singer song writer Jarel. It is his first full length offering following previous EP releases such as 'Plus Minus', 'Nyama Choma' and 'Mahaba'.

It is a take on the Kenyan phrase ‘acha umama’(stop being feminine), a jab directed at me countless times as a reaction to my queerness. The project explores the melding of the femme with enculturated 
masculinity against the backdrop of a majority Christian conservative country.
