Following releases on Permanent Vacation, NeedWant, and HE.SHE.THEY, Ukraine-born, Chicago-raised and Berlin-based DJ/producer Alinka returns to Radio Slave’s Rekids with ‘Numbers EP’, bringing three tracks of inspired and colourful house tracks for her second release on the imprint.

Leading the release, the title track ‘Numbers’ brings robotic vocals, bright leads, and bouncing basslines together for a sharp and energetic opener. ‘Better Days’ follows with chunky drum machines and dubbed-out chords before ‘80’s Baby’ closes the EP in fine style with soaring leads atop pumping kicks.

“This is a very nostalgic release for me. Every track is different from the next, but all were influenced by the different styles of music I grew up playing and listening to as a DJ, from Italo to early tech house and deep house.” - Alinka.

The Will & Ink label now hits release number 5 with an EP from Malin that features two new cuts and a remix from Yaleesa Hall. Amsterdam and Paris based producer Malin Genie has released some well received house and techno bangers in recent times, and runs his own label Oscillat. With a keen sense of heritage but one eye on the future, here he serves up two more intense and floor focussed cuts. 

The first is 'Deorbital Descent', a turbo charged and hard hitting techno track with overdriven kicks, big daubs of synthy hook and a real sense of urgency. The claps are hard as you like, and the drums are no less menacing, so think peak time warehouse tackle and you'll not be far wrong. Next up, 'Agaric Fly' is a much more stripped back and down low techno roller with hubby chords, groaning bass and rubbery kicks that seduce and hypnotise. The remix comes from Yaleesa Hall, who has released a solo EP on the label before now. The resulting track is a fulsome, scurrying techno affair with edgy stabs, hurried drums and a real sense of foreboding.

Once again then here, Will & Ink have unearthed yet more lovable, no-frills techno for serious heads everywhere.

In 2015, Parisian night club institution, Rex, took its legacy one step further and founded its own imprint, Rex Club Music. After three brilliant outings from D'julz & Phil Weeks, Fred P and Steve Bug it's time for the label’s first EP of 2017.

Electric Rescue, Rex resident and one of the French scene mainstay delivers the good with his ‘Melancholic Enchantment’ EP. The record also includes a well crafted rework by Marcelus of Tresor and Singular fame.

Along his 25 years carrier, Electric Rescue has released 2 albums, countless EPs and also founded the Skryptöm imprint that just hit the ten years mark.
