How to start 2022

Heîk is the solo project of the Mexican, Hugo Ibarra, who is no stranger to the label. With previous releases under other aliases such as Natural Flow and  ostil, we now have the pleasure of releasing his debut EP on the label under his new moniker.

"Resilience" the opener track, is a beat-less intro, full of haunting melodies, pulsating synths and textures that play with each other building up a beautiful dark story. A perfect beginning to introduce us into the world of Heîk.

"Apeiron" takes us to the dance-floor mood. A great groove, percussion and synths start building tension throughout the track, leading us to the main melody, which is a super catchy synth pattern, accompanied by textures, pads and glitchy sounds.

On the remix duties, Gardens of God, who has also released on the label on Odd Echoes' V.A., reworks the track into a more energetic version, keeping the essence of the original, but adding a super catchy and fat synth, which takes us to another dimension.

To close the EP, He k presents another cut for the dance-floor, "Arcane", in which an ascending synth with an arpeggio style predominate through the whole track. Melodies, pads and bass stabs play all along as the track keeps developing.

"Halcyon" is the most emotional track of the EP, a perfect closure full of chords, textures and melancholic vibes, with subtle synths, that take you into the perfect trip.

Since the release of 'The Sign' on our label, French rising talent Hugo Cantarra has seen his profile growing up fast on music platforms. He also launched his b-side project NØREQUEST with us a few months ago with two amazing Indie-Dance tracks with Cadillac Express.

Proudly evolving as a crossover artist, he permanently oscillates between Pop-Dance and Melodic Techno, crossing paths without any fears nor genre boundaries. Even if he's now signed to massive mainstream labels like Spinnin and Virgin, he keeps on letting his inspiration flow. He makes us happy releasing a new master piece on Family Piknik Music that he successfully tested on our festival's main stage early August.

'Freedom' is the kind of Housy anthem you immediately fall in love with, taken by the warm vocal topline and the soft groove that leads you to the dancefloor. On the remix duties, we have two heavyweights involved, in the name of STEREO EXPRESS and SASCHA BRAEMER.

First drops a catchy electro-tech rocket, straight to the floor with some devastating synth gimmicks, while Sascha dives us into a much deeper groove, sharing some soulful and ethnic emotions.

Heading straight for the fast lane is Josh Gigante with „Attention Seeker“. A hypnotic one-note bassline with ritualistic vocals takes you onto a night ride on the highway, until the overdrive kicks in and a sudden chainsaw-sounding lead is giving off sparks.

„Tanzwerk“ by Jepe takes you to a sinister sounding technocratic utopia, where suddenly all the sounds of machine processes align and form a dance floor symphony.

Next on the 21st Four To The Floor is „Folk“ by AIKON, an upbeat affair with slight hints of 80s, New Wave and Acid.

And closing off is „Music is the way“ by Spada feat. Klara Sestiniova, a dreamy end-of-night soundtrack that will definitely provide for a hands-up and eyes-closed moments.

Black Roses Nineteenth EP comes from Erly Tepshi, one of the label founders. In this EP you'll dive into the unknown, fasten your seatbelts for a journey into the space where the light of the stars will bring some brightness in the darkest universe and get lost in a fantasy world. The first track is "Hidden feat. Eleonora", deep grooves with a solid kick and spatial elements surround the unique vocals of Eleonora.
