at a really interesting time in my life a friend showed me the original track by @sadkey and I wanted to remix it. this one took a little longer than normal with a bunch of changes to the edit & 2 pushed back release dates.

this edit follows a lot of the style I've tried to create - it hits hard but also has this huge emotional & melodic undertone that combined, I feel, gives more than a traditional cookie cutter track.

I started this remix with the intention of making a really weird but big track, something that really hadn't been done before, that kind of blurred the line between trap and future bass. Overall a lot of the track came naturally around Khalid and Normani's breathtaking performances on the original, and I had a lot of fun putting a weird twist to this beautiful track, so I hope everyone enjoys it!
