This piece was written for my good friend and former roommate at CMU Timothy Ginn. He is a fantastic guitarist and works extremely hard on his craft. Truly an inspiration to live with and witness his work ethic. I plan on writing more for Tim starting with a second movement to this very piece.

Growing Young

Not the best recording, but one of my earliest pieces that I actually got to hear live instead of in Finale playback. The piece isn't as cohesive as I'd like it to be, but for early in my composing life I still think it has a lot of good ideas and development. Maybe some of this could be reworked and be made into an orchestra piece..?

Prelude and Scherzo

This was only the third piece I had ever composed and I never planned on getting it performed. It was written as an ode to the Autumn season. My buddy Jason DeChristofaro took a look at it and said he knew an English Horn player would do great with it and he wanted it on a composers concert he was organizing. The result is this recording. Enjoy!

Mountain Memoirs

This is a piece I created for Jennifer Blackwell, a good friend and colleague of mine as well as a wonderful saxophone player. I wrote this piece for her second graduate recital with the intent to find my own way to merge atonal techniques with tonal sounds and to give both Jen and Joana (Piano) something fun to play. The result is this premiere recording. Thank you to both of my friends for playing this piece so well and giving it the attention all new music should recieve.
