A little backstory on why I chose today to release. 2 years ago, on this day, I experienced the most traumatic day of my life! When the pandemic started, I needed to drive back to my hometown because LA was going to into lockdown. However,  I chose the wrong day to drive because I drove through a heavy rainstorm. That storm caused me to hydroplane my car and roll across the road into the median. Crazy enough, I survived with no injuries. I survived with no cuts or bruises. I survived what could of been a fatal accident. It was a miracle that I came out alive. This is why I chose PULSE to be released today, March 18th. Because I still have one and I am grateful to be alive to show you all the hard work I’ve put into this song and the ones to come!

These lyrics are meaningful. This song is about breaking out of sadness/depression. Knowing that at one point, you were happy and you want to return to that happiness. We all go through this in many parts of our lives, but it is up to us, ourselves to break free from any rut. Only you can change you. Break the chains that are holding you down.

In the beginning stages of this song, I felt it needed lyrics that no one sings about, but is something we all end up going through. That is having a loved one pass away. We all have or will experience this once in our lives. We are sad that they go, but we are hopeful to know they'll always look out for us from above. This song is dedicated to  the loved ones we dearly miss.
