Here is the new record coming on Samuel Records!!!
Once again the Maestro Roberto Sanchez played an instrumental that fitted perfectly with the voice of Emma Lammadji and the horns section especially united for this project, to create some bridges between roots reggae, afrobeat and jazz.
Emma tells us how she lived this covid period, and this makes echoes to what we lived too.
Horns section is composed of THmoas Vahle (sax & peul flute) who wrote the theme, Pascal Bouvier (trombone) and Armel Courée (Barritone sax) who were on the EthioRoots project, and Olivier Dullion on the trumpet.
On the B Side you have a complete dub with a trumpet solo.
9 minutes per side, to give you the time of the listenning, the trance, and the dance.

On A-Side, HANDYMAN delivers a bad Roots Stepper riddim, with a wonderfull vocal of DABA MAKOUREJAH ina #metoodub style. The second track is a massive horn cut performed by BENYAH, which already made his class in the biggest dances (Big Up Blackboard Jungle). Last, but not least, part3 is a heavy cosmic dub version from Danny T & Tradesman, sending you in another dimention until the last drop !
On B-Side, another killer riddim from HANDYMAN, with the wonderfull SYRA pon the mic, delivering a conscious vocal on women empowerment. 2nd track is a bad vocal dub from Handyman himself when, again, 3rd track is a cosmic dub straight from outta DANNY T & TRADESMAN brain and fingers.

UK: Lunatics EP is a forwarming title. The mystics sounds appeal to moody ghosts and evils coming from Scalper’s dark imaginary world. From the incantatory « Lunatics » to the heady beats of Gothic nursery rhyme in « One Friend », to the jazz sounds of Puppets and to Phantom Ghosts where ghosts song assailed us, Scalper drive us in a dark hip-hop and a chant noise where spirituality and mystic atmosphere are mixing altogether on conscious lyrics.

FR: Lunatics EP porte un nom annonciateur, pour des titres aux sonorités mystiques qui invoquent les fantômes et les démons lunatiques de l'imaginaire très sombre de son créateur. De l'incantatoire « Lunatics », à un « One Friend » aux beats entêtants comme une comptine gothique, des sonorités jazz de Puppets à un Phantom Ghosts où les chants des fantômes nous assaillent, Scalper nous entraîne aux lisières d'un hip hop dark et d'une noise scandée, où le spirituel et l'ambiance mystique se marie aux textes conscients.
