It's been a while since we released a GD live set and it's time for something handmade and organic. We present an exclusive Live Session by Timo Veranta and Getting Deeper's Ich Hab Bock show host Henheimer, who created this deep tech mix with only their latest releases. All tracks were produced with a lot of heart and soul for the 2020 open air and festival season, which unfortunately did not take place due to the pandemic.

Cameron Christian Samson was born in 1992 in Ceres, a small town outside of Cape Town, South Africa. The South African began producing music at the young age of 11-years-old curious to how electronic music was created. He was influenced by artists such as Benny Benassi, Laidback Luke, Fedde Le Grande and later Micky Slim, Nick Supply, Switch and Stupid Fresh. His father was a sound engineer for most of a 30 year long career in live events and as a young child he spent much time awed by 48 channel mixing desks and how every slider had a unique function. He spent much time producing in many genres such as electro, hip-hop, house, drum and bass, dubstep as well as psy-trance, each production a learning exercise, guiding him closer to a unique sound and style as well as tuning his ear. After 15 years of study and many years spent in almost every DAW that exists, Cameron Christian Samson is now producing a unique flavour of melodic techno, and deep house under the name of 'Rosenna Samson'. Rosenna is his grandmother's second name as a tribute to her memory. He creates every sound in every original production from scratch.  His style can be described as emotive and powerful. He enjoys to create hard, dirty 5am techno as well as deeper melodic grooves. He always enjoys to create a colourful composition and emotive nostalgic feeling.

New York’s Nhii (No human is illegal) lands his newest sortie on our polyrhythm-loving, genre-unbound offshoot, A Tribe Called Kotori. Tapping in multiple sonic seams and time signatures, “Tu Sombra” is deeper than deep voyage for the senses and soul, threading its way somewhere between drum-laden animism, mystique-infused synth wizardry and further metamorphic glides.

First in line, the dislocated groove and koto-like riffs of “Omashu” take us on slo-burning tribulations from jam-packed opium dens to meditation-friendly zen gardens, bringing ukiyo-e’an landscapes to life in incandescent fashion. “Sapphire Penumbra”, featuring Sant, tackles a more straightforward, dynamic strain of 4x4 expression, ushering us into a sensitive reverie full with soaring oriental strings and myrrh-scented keyboards on a Nubian dance tip. Title-cut “Tu Sombra” rounds it off on a full-fledged bouncy note, plugging together the suavely nostalgic warmth of bass clarinet with digital showers of bleepin’ machine funk and lo-intensity, tape-delayed stabs, all spinning around a jacking house swing that packs a mercurial punch.
