Big, massive, stadium-filling, hands-in-the-air music is what makes this young DJ tick. Having started it as a hobby in school, it soon grew into a passion that could not be overlooked. 
After being influenced by the local DJs Fresh, Euphonik and Kent, Jarryd Farrington (also known as DJ Fareezi) started mashing up two songs in a very simple way. When his peers took a liking to his offerings, it was time to take it more seriously. A lot of hard work, a bit of luck and the right timing saw him start playing at local high school parties and at matric farewell afterparties. Throughout the years his list of accolades has increased, playing alongside some of the best in the country and throughout the world. After he was named joint winner of a DJ Competition held on the biggest national radio station in South Africa, 5FM, he decided that simply playing other people’s music wasn’t enough; it was time to produce his own music. After a slow start he got together with his friend Adrien Conradie (DJ Adie) and put together a track for an international remix competition held by Beatport in association with Deadmau5 to mark the release of the artist’s new single “SOFI Needs A Ladder”. Out of 700+ entrants this young duo placed in the top 50, giving rise to an intense desire to succeed and climb the ladder internationally. With major influences including Axwell, Dirty South, Thomas Gold, Avicii, Sebastian Ingrosso, Alesso and Hardwell, you can expect great things from this devoted individual.
There is always a project cooking in the studio and it is only a matter of time before he gets international recognition on a much larger stage. For now, watch out for him rocking a club near you, probably in the DJ duo ‘Adie &amp; Fareezi’. Being perfectionists by nature, they make sure that whenever they have a set together it is at the highest standard.
