An experiment to create a track using only Massive X patches I designed. The synth surprised me with sounds outside of my usual palette, and encouraged me to write this gritty driving track.

In the realm of horror film scoring, music plays a pivotal role alongside visuals.  Composer Jarryd Elias, in his work on director Rem Scobell's Beverly Hills Exorcist, not only meets but surpasses expectations, crafting an orchestral score that immerses the audience in the heart of cinematic terror.

From the very first notes of "Another Extraction," Elias masterfully blends eerie-yet-active textures with haunting melodies, setting a foreboding tone for the unfolding action with a gruesome demon (Eileen Dietz).  His versatility shines as he seamlessly transitions from the ominous demon theme and intense action scoring in tracks like "Uncovering the Demon" and "Losing the Team" to lighter, comedic compositions, deftly capturing the film's shifting tones in "Removal of the Phantasm" and "It's Not Your House Anymore."  The love theme connecting Sonya (Amanda McCants) and Sebastian (Ryan Kendrick), beautifully portrayed in "Sonya & The Spirit Communicator," adds emotional depth, while an epic and energizing end credits sequence, titled "Sonya's Theme / End Credits," provides a powerful finale.

What distinguishes this soundtrack is its storytelling prowess.  Each track unfolds like a chapter in a musical journey that mirrors the film's twists and turns.  Elias's music builds tension and dread with heart-pounding crescendos and contemplative moments laden with impending doom.  Remarkably, the score transcends the confines of the horror genre, making it a captivating listen, whether accompanying the film or enjoyed independently.  It stands as a testament to the profound impact of music in enhancing cinematic storytelling.
