My name is Anna Borsuk and I am a promoter and a DJ, representing the young female generation of artists. I grew up in Kiev, but have been based in Warsaw for a long time. My history with music is quite a varied one, as I never dwell long on one specific genre, opting instead to try and convey the special charm of the Ukrainian underground scene and its diverse sounds. Lately I've mostly been inspired by electro, breaks, synth, acid and ghetto, while also delving into rominimal, minimal breaks and groove.
As a member of the international SOJUZ collective, I'm involved in the pursuit of organising clubnights that foster the underground music culture, with all of its different approaches to music, visuals and clubbing itself. Every two weeks you can join us on a journey through all that and more, by listening to our show on Radio Kapitał.

“My name is Anna Borsuk, and I am a promoter and DJ of the female young generation. Originally from Kyiv, I have been living in Warsaw for a long time. My history with music is quite varied, I don't dwell on one specific sound and I am trying to convey the special charm of the Ukrainian underground scene on different frontiers.
At the moment most of all I am inspired by such genres as electro, breaks, synth, acid, ghetto, bass, jungle, UK and rave at the same time delving in romininal, minimal breaks, groove, ukhouse. As a member of SOJUZ collective I’m involved in pursue of organising parties fostering underground culture from different sides of electronic music, visualisations and clubbing approach. I have performed in the most important clubs in Poland (Jasna 1, Smolna, FOMO, Ulica Elektryków, CEL, Transformator, Crackhouse, Project Lab, Schron, Szpitalna1, Wyspa Tamka, Dom Technika, Ciało) next to artists such as Alienata, Lake Haze, Herrensauna: CEM & MCMLXXXV, Olivian Nour, Omon Breaker, Salt Mines: Rudolf C & Shedbug, Christoph Faust and more other. I made my debut at Las Festival in 2021, and for 2022 I have been already booked for Instytut, Up To Date, SFORA, Hole and Garbicz festivals and also for parties in another countries. I am currently one of the residents of Transformator Club in Wrocław and Ulica Elektryków areas in Gdańsk.
I have recently decided to organize a more artistic collective called Dżem. It aims at broadening the perspective of music-oriented parties by introducing more performative and interactive arts as one of the main points in the agenda. This year has also seen the beginning of two other event series that I have the pleasure to organize: MRIJA, my personal dream of promoting Eastern artists, and CANDYFLIP, a break and ghetto oriented project with a gangster feel to it. Both of them give me space to grow as a promoter, with full freedom of vision and sound to explore.”

The Hacker at Mechatronica [15-07-2022]

The duo are among the most striking acts on Nina Kraviz's Трип label. 

The story of PTU began with experiments with second-hand synthesizers and bass guitars, driven by a burning need to make "something different." It could have ended with homemade CDs and local gigs alongside other amateur bands at local concerts in Kazan, Tatarstan, where the same musicians would often form new bands by swapping positions behind keyboards or drum machines, or maybe adding a guitarist. At one point, PTU was reconfigured to become psychodelic Acid Monkey's Temple or an electroclash band called Love-Fine or the ambient band Olympic Snow. For a couple of years, they released field recordings and ambient tracks on a DIY label called Kak?Tak ("How Come"), until most of the members grew up, moved to bigger cities and got "real jobs." 

That would have been the end of PTU, had two of its members, Alina Izolenta and Kamil Ea, not challenged themselves to grow out the bedroom mindset and get to the front of what they call "techno's stranger sector."
