This is my first track that I wrote once I moved to Kobe, Japan in the summer of 2016. Not knowing anyone where I lived, and playing football professionally outside of school was a first. I had a lot of extra time on my hands and I thought it would be cool to try something I was passionate about as a child. 

When I was younger, I was always the new kid at school, so I’d often write poetry in my notebook to occupy myself. Moving to Japan was being the new kid on another level, and my music was the result of that. 

This was written during the time of the ‘So Far Gone Challenge’. The challenge was for people to spit to the legendary Monica’s “So Far Gone” instrumental. Everyone from sports players, actors and even my closest friends recorded their own verses at the time. I wanted to challenge myself even further by snapping for the entire duration of the track. 

Once completed, I rapped this one in front of all my friends and family. Barbershops and mountain tops, whenever people asked me if I could rap. Honestly, if Monica was to ever hear this and let me put this out officially I’d be forever grateful. Lol 

All and all, I’m proud of this one, and I hope you guys enjoy it too.
