I was joined in-studio by Sharon Keegan, owner and force behind Peachy Lean, an Irish brand of supportive gym and ladies fitness wear; originally created when she was post-pregnancy and struggling to find some functional-fitness wear that could give her extra support in the pelvic and mid section.

Since those days early days, Sharon's business has gone from strength to strength and Peachy-Lean’s mission is to make every every girl & woman feel as confident as they can be. An inspirational story, as all this happened after Sharon was made redundant in 2015 and suffering from anxiety and postnatal depression. 

We chatted about all of that and about having one of the most recognisable Irish brands in ladies fitness in Ireland right now.

Luke is one of the hardest working young songwriters from Dublin, in 2015, he played over 250 gigs all over Ireland including Electric Picnic and a headline show at Whelans. 

2018 is set to be an exciting year for Luke, he's about to release his debut studio E.P; 'Second Starts' on Feb 23rd and he'll be headlining The Sound House in Dublin later that night with his first ever full band show. We chatted about all of that and more besides

Every Saturday morning, on the Breakfast Club, i shine a light on some of the best new musical talent Ireland has to offer. Recently I was joined live in studio by 25 year old Skerries singer songwriter: Philip Dunne.

Philip studied in the Cork School of Music where he honed his skills, preparing himself for to write, produce and perform his own music. He reached the televised stages of Britain's Got Talent with his original song "Another Life", a beautiful tribute to the passing of his sister. 

Taking inspiration from  Damien Rice, and John Mayer, Phillip is currently the lead singer of the band Waiting for May, who have just released their new EP "Empire". We chatted about all of that and he performed a new song too.

Terrie grew up listening to Johnny Cash and Patsy Cline as a young girl and then started gigging from the age of 14. She's just recorded her first studio album 'Home' in Nashville Tennasee with the man behind the likes of Dolly Parton and Randy Travis; producer Randy Korhyrs. I chatted to her about all of that and heard her perform her fantastic new single 'Home'.

Recently I got to chat to someone whose story I've been following since last year, one of Ireland's toughest Sailors and someone you could actually call a hero without over stating things!

Last July, 18 sailors set off from France to compete in one of the world’s most challenging sailing & endurance competitions; the 2018 Golden Globe Race! Taking in 30,000 miles, this around-the-world race is non-stop, unassisted and with absolutely no outside assistance allowed!
 
One of the 18 sailors taking part was Ireland’s Gregor McGuckin! Hoping to become the first Irishman to complete the race. 2 months into Gregor’s attempt, disaster struck!! An enormous storm, rolled his boat twice, damaging it and destroying the mast. Exhausted and out of the race, he then went to the aid of someone in worse condition than him even though this wild storm was still raging around him. Amazing, give it a listen.

During the March Bank Holiday Weekend, I was joined on the Breakfast Club for a chat and live performance from Dublin singer/songwriter Naoise Fitzgerald aka Nnic!

Nnic has been causing a great buzz on the Irish music scene, ever since her debut single 'Pillars', was released last August it has clocked up a really impressive 500K streams on Spotify. We chatted about that and Nnic performed her new single Grow and the song that introduced everyone to her 'Pillars'. We also chatted about her forthcoming debut Dublin gig at Whelans on May 30th.
