Credited for his remixes of household names such as Kylie Minogue, Annie Lennox and Missy Elliott as well as collaborations with legendary artists David Bowie, Sting and Cyndi Lauper (which got him a Grammy nomination), The Scumfrog has been everywhere. Dropping tracks on pretty much every prominent label out there from Bedrock to 1605, Positiva to Yoshitoshi, The Scumfrog has already kick started his 2015 with a release on Hot Since 82's Knee Deep In Sound imprint. 

The Dutch/American producer's roots sit firmly within tech house, his Ballroom release a dark and atmospheric creation with crisp hi-hats and melodic synths. Not to forget label heads Kaiser Souzai's futuristic rework bringing in more creative and hypnotic layers to an already magnetic release.

Another solid release package from a burgeoning label who continues to deliver with every drop.

"Berlin dream team, Kaiser Souzai are back on their own label, Ballroom Music to release, 'Love, Rave, Accelerate' an explosive 3 track EP which further solidifies their reputation as techno masterminds. The next release to drop on burgeoning Berlin label, Ballroom Music is the 'Scattered EP',  a collaboration between Lisbon born Miguel Matoz and India based, Diatonik.  The result of an impromptu studio session during their Thailand tour, this two track EP can only be described as dark and stomping techno with machine like precision - another monster addition to the label's growing release schedule.

The title track, 'Scattered' speaks of an organised chaos in its seemingly random effects that becomes part of a bigger whole with it's creative sound patterns and design - complimented by Mr Robot, which delivers on raw energy in it's purest form alongside low pitched vocals and a hooky synth line to create that biting atmosphere.

Part of the Clarisse family, Portugese national Miguel Matoz is no stranger to the international club scene having gigged in almost every corner of the European continent, including respected venues such as Madrid's Fabrik, Portugal's Kremlin and Ibiza's DC10 and Pacha to name a few. Already a household name within the Indian electronic music scene, Diatonik, the techno alter ego of Animesh, is one of India's most touring DJs since 2010, also racking up the European countries in gigs and festival sets.

A mighty and eclectic collaboration between Matoz and Diatonik, Scattered EP is one for the techno heads.

Ballroom Records kick start the new year with a debut track from Bangkok based producer, Dan Buri - rounded off with a remix from label heads Kaiser Souzai - dropping on 16th January 2017. Buri's 'Deep Breath' is a charmingly melodic techno number, filled with haunting synth patterns which addictively ascend & descend, all supported from beneath with sharp percussions and kick drums, creating an almost unintentional flow that does what it says on the tin; take a deep breath and let the sound takeover.

Kaiser Souzai then take the reigns on remix duties, immediately injecting their signature pulsating rhythm, bringing the original a step deeper and accentuating all the elements to forge an even later night's anthem.

German raised Dan Buri defined his career by sharing stages with artists such as Sven Väth, Dubfire, Joris Voorn, M.A.N.D.Y and Booka Shade, as well as playing some of the world’s most revered clubs like Tresor, Sisyphos, Time and Kyo. Seen as a pioneer of techno within the city of Bangkok, Buri launched his own imprint, Neverest Records, a label which actively seeks to bring together Asian producers & DJs, building a platform across the world for connecting and sharing. With a natural talent for production, Buri continues to expand his imprint and releases, making his way through the techno ladder.

Ballroom Records is set to take yet another year by storm, 'Deep Breath' an impressive start to a taste-making 2017 from the Berlin label.
