Through their music (on influential labels such as Buzzin’ Fly, Peace Bisquit/Curve, A Touch Of Class and Definity), inspired DJ sets and exploits, AUTOMAGIC has carried the torch for NYC clubbing while building a loyal international fan base and critical acclaim. Heavily influenced by the post “disco-not-disco” soundtrack that catapulted acts like HUMAN LEAGUE, TALKING HEADS, HEAVEN 17, CABARET VOLTAIRE and SECTION 25 into popular consciousness at seminal Downtown haunts like Danceteria, The Loft and Mudd Club, the duo has crafted a signature sound capturing the nostalgia of the classic early 80s while infusing it with a crisp modern edge.
