Mondays Child

Centipede

I had inhaled something quite mind numbingly potent when laying down this instrumental lol. it turned out pretty complex and manic to say the least.  

Psychotic Pianist

A song I wrote using the piano I then took it to the work bench to decorate and treat it. I also tried to capture a  nice rich analog finish on the recording, which kind of worked after processing the sound through a few virtual valves. I would say this was definitely one of my more accomplished  songs.

Voice Of Reason

A song I dedicated to a very close relative. This took me a while to arrange and mix properly.

You're Not Going To Heaven

I wrote this song on an acoustic guitar then took it round to an auld mate of mine to produce. I fancied using logic as opposed to Cubase and also having a different set of ears to work around this track. I mastered the end result and it sits fairly hard and solid in the mix could do with more groove and swing but hey ho

I Want To Be The One

 This was one of my most inspirational songs.  As I was programing the beat and bass line for this little bad boy, I knew I was onto a winner.  I was determined in making sure the production and sounds were sitting well together in the mix, which took me a while to get the results I was looking for. Anyhow,  I should of been revising for my college work at the time as it was well overdue. It just so happened I managed to capture/record a priceless angry mother in the background ranting, hence the title hehe. So she got sampled and was completely oblivious to the fact =)

Mothers Rant


Without doubt the most angst filled intense song I have ever wrote. Was not in a good place when i recorded this, and I think it shows.  Make sure you're not hungover or looking to relax when giving this little terror a listen... hold on to your hat lol

Suffer

I am fairly proud how the production turned out on this little eerie number, it took a lot of editing and some fine processing. Think I got some political issues off my chest..and used some real cone shaking vocal distortion to try and capture a little rage along with some guitar jack plugin noises =P I also used an ancient cheap ass guitar owned by Bob Fairfoull ex Idlewild, not sure he even knows... he got it back =)
