Jason (DJ Red516) is a New York–born DJ whose journey through music began long before he ever
stepped into a booth. At just twelve years old, he discovered DJing through an older friend who opened
the door to a world of rhythm, movement, and expression. By fourteen, he was sneaking into the
legendary New York City club scene—his first unforgettable night being inside the iconic Limelight,
where he literally jumped a fence and slipped the bouncer some cash just to get inside. That moment
ignited a lifelong passion that never faded.
Growing up in the heart of one of the world’s most influential dance music capitals, Jason immersed
himself in the culture. He was breakdancing, studying DJs, and absorbing the sound of pioneers like
Louie Vega, Merlin Bobb, Timmy Regisford, and other masters of soulful house and underground New
York nightlife. What began as curiosity quickly became identity.
Today, with decades of experience behind the decks, Jason is known for his smooth, emotional, and
melodic Deep House sound—blending Deep Vocal vibes, Chill Melodic House, Nu Disco warmth, and
dreamy atmospheres. His sets are journeys: relaxing, uplifting, nostalgic, and deeply personal. Unlike
many DJs, Jason never plays premade sets. His signature approach is performing live mashups and
on-the-fly remixes, crafting music in real time and building every night’s energy based on the crowd.
Having played in virtually every major club in New York City—including Limelight, Palladium, Tunnel,
Twilo, Speed, Carbon, Mars 2112, Roxy, Webster Hall, Etoile, Bridgeview, Blu, and Chelsea
Street—Jason continues to evolve, staying rooted in the emotional depth of Deep House while pushing
toward modern melodic soundscapes.
Every Friday from 7pm–4am (USA time), Jason broadcasts through HouseMusicRadio.co.uk, delivering
long-format sets with exclusive mashups and deep atmospheric grooves. His social channels feature
