"In Thoughts of All Those We Love" - A quiet musical tribute — composed for piano, cello, clarinet, and orchestra.

The piano opens gently, like an inner reflection. The cello responds with deep warmth, a voice drawn from memory. The clarinet adds a touch of light — a fragile spark between sorrow and solace. The orchestra unfolds with restraint, offering space and support, never overwhelming.

This piece is a tender greeting to those who have shaped our lives — near or far, present or remembered. A soundscape that doesn’t seek closure, but carries us forward. Between loss and connection, music emerges that remains.

Os três movimentos da suíte são releituras livres de obras que circularam no Brasil Colonial, em distintas regiões. A “Tocata Grande do Saltério”, anônima, aparece na coleção de “Cifras de Música para Saltério”, de António Vieira dos Santos, em Paranaguá/ PR, no início do Séc. XIX. “Passio” vem de um breve moteto à capela que anuncia a “Paixão segundo S. Mateus”, dentro do Ofício de Domingo de Ramos, de 1782, de José Joaquim Emerico Lobo de Mesquita, a partir de cópias de Mariana e Diamantina/MG. A “Fuga” é a última parte, “In te Domine speravi”, de um “Te Deum” anônimo, cujo manuscrito está preservado em Mariana/MG, erroneamente atribuído a Manuel Dias de Oliveira. As obras originais apresentam estilos e formas contrastantes entre si, mas tem em comum o fato de fazerem parte do passado colonial brasileiro.

I was listening to The Planets by Holst when I started this.  I was working at getting deeper chords and creating more of an atmosphere.

Escape

This is a piano re-interpretation of my original film score. In its early shape I have performed this piece live in Riga, Trieste, Pordenone and Ljubljana last year. Now it is slightly expanded and released together with the full film soundtrack.
