The Sound of Angels Wings

When I first wrote this song, I didn't intend for it to be a recording; it was just a whisper into the silence of an old, empty room. But sometimes, the deepest heartaches become the most honest melodies. This track is called "Love Lost in the Silence," and it’s the sound of facing the ghosts that linger when a true love is gone.

In this song, you’ll hear my voice—Kathy Trevelyan—stripped down to the bone. Every note I sing comes from standing in those old, dusty rooms, seeing shadows in the moonlight, and feeling the ache of an absent touch.

We deliberately built the arrangement around that feeling of quiet desolation:

- The soft, tender fingerpicking of the guitar and the light shimmer of the mandolin create a fragile atmosphere, like the last breath of a breeze across a broken pane.

- The fiddle isn't just accompanying; it's crying. Its long, soulful, mournful notes are the tears I couldn't shed.

- The deep, slow bass is the steady, painful heartbeat keeping me grounded in the loneliness.

This is a song about memory and longing—about wishing you could rewind time to the warmth of those cold nights. It’s about the truth found in "Heartbroken by the silence, tears in my eyes."
