Another morning, I was up with the sun, threw on my robe and pulled my slippers on

They said another gun bought yesterday in a town not so far away
Ended lives that had just begun, and I watched the children run

It seems to happen every day, same old story in sad replay

Then I sit and worry if today might be THAT DAY

We can never be ready for the time if it comes
How I dread to think that someday I might have to watch my children run
