Time flies! Hard to believe I wrote and released this 20 years ago (March, 2004). This is one of my favorites from that era – it made it to the B-side to 941-031, and onto the video portion of the “Rust” DVD (2005). By 2004, things were really starting to unwind in the breaks scene, and I thought this track never really got the attention it deserved. I cannot really remember why I gave it this title, but this song has such a great feel that I really had to give it another chance with a remastering effort.

This is one of the earliest songs I made for which I saved partial, rudimentary stems (snippets), so I was able to dust them off and reassemble them in Ableton, then output to Pro Tools in order to remaster each track individually. We have some amazing tools available today for this process, along with much better equipment in our studio. The remastered version is a little louder and wider than the vinyl version, and all of the instrument levels have been rebalanced so they sit better in the track. You can A/B it with the original to see what I mean.
