A track originally created to celebrate the sunrise, MATTN X D-wayne's new bass thumping release ‘Morning Mood’ has now become the perfect melody to spice up a socially distanced house party or get together outside this Summer. A modern update on Edvard Greig’s 1875’s operatic call to the morning, the 145-year-old track has been reimagined for a new generation and with its catchy beat and positive vibe will quickly become a huge party anthem.

Brothers Michael Feel and Aleco make their bow on Smash Deep with the instantly catchy anthem ‘Body High’, featuring Aleesia on vocals. Smash Deep has been on a roll during its infancy, welcoming new and established names to provide fans of the label with the latest in groovy, deeper sounds. The Swedish brothers Michael Feel and Aleco are already familiar to fans of Smash The House, having previously released the huge ‘Loose Myself In You’ alongside Yaro and Philip Strand.

A repeating piano chord ticks over and sets the mood, providing the bed for Aleesia’s vocals to flourish. Interesting musical accompaniments such as a guitar melody and groovy, pitched stabs, keep listeners interest piqued throughout, driven forward by a bouncing bassline that will last long in the memory. The track has a knack of being sparse but full at the same time, consisting of few elements that fill the space in the track perfectly. 

Michael Feel and Aleco clearly demonstrate the brotherly synergy in their productions, combining effortlessly to craft music that has garnered attention from heavy hitters such as label heads Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike and Tiësto, and if early releases are anything to go by, that list is only expected to grow exponentially. Reimagining a classic is never an easy feat especially one as loved as the international mega hit ‘Show Me Love’ but newcomer Dino Warriors interpretation was one that caught the ears of global artist Dimitri Vegas and quickly became the first release on his newly formed House of House record label, with the added touch of his production wizardry to the final mix to give the classic party anthem more bang for its buck!

Much is not known about Dino Warriors at this stage. Only that the mysterious artist clearly knows how to carve out a vibe in the studio. An iconic dancefloor filler since the 90’s, Dino Warriors version retains all of the danceable rhythms music fans have come to expect from ‘Show Me Love’ but this 2020 version features a low-slung yet rumbling bassline that is sonically insatiable – a hint of Dimitri Vegas’ involvement on the edit.

This unveiling of his House of House imprint with Dino Warriors ‘Show Me Love’ comes after a succession of hit releases from Dimitri Vegas, along with his brother and fellow Smash The House label owner Like Mike. Dropping their hugely popular ‘Say My Name’ collaboration with Kosovan electronic artist Regard back in July the trio have since seen the single score more than 20 million digital streams and continuing to grow. The last month Dimitri and Mike released their gargantuan TikTok smash ‘Do It’ featuring Mexican superstar singer and influencer Kimberly Loaiza and talented producer Azteck. On the last count the single was upwards of 160 million views on TikTok and the trending #1 video in Latin America. 

With an undeniable ear for a hit record, it’s fair to say that Dimitri Vegas may have unearthed another big release with this first single on House of House.

Cheeky Mancunian brothers EC Twins make their debut on Generation Smash with ‘Hands In The Air’. The twins have released on Smash The House previously, dropping ‘You’ve Never Seen’ featuring CeCe Peniston in 2012, and make their bow on the sister label after recent success on imprints such as HEXAGON and Armada. With ‘Hands In The Air’ Generation Smash further cements its impressive credentials in A&R, and ability to work with new and established names alike. 

‘Hands In The Air’ kicks off with a soulful vocal, with the sampled vox instructing fans to put their hands in the air as the track builds. The beat is full of house attitude, combining open hats with a chopped sample groove. The main break sees a breaks rhythm keep things ticking over, before turning up the energy and returning to the party. 

EC Twins are no strangers to releasing high quality electronic music, and have seen previous releases supported by Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, Don Diablo, Tiësto and Yves V, and ‘Hands In The Air’ is a sure-fire party starter that is set to be a mainstay in top-tier DJ sets for months to come.
