MIND

I was born deep within a dark and mysterious cave, where I lived for the first 7 years of my life in solitude. There was no one to keep me company, yet every night when I slept, I could have sworn I felt a warm soothing breath against my neck. Baskets of food would show up each morning from an unknown source before I woke to provide me with nourishment. When I turned 7, I ventured out of the cave for the first time to experience the wonders of the outside world. Upon my return, there was a giant mountain lion waiting there for me. But I did not fear.. Although she looked upset, it was more of a worried expression than a look of anger. Suddenly it hit me, as I came to a glorious realization; that beautiful creature standing there before me was the source of the food baskets and the warm breaths I felt on my neck every single night as I slept, insuring me a peaceful and rejuvenate sleep. She was my mother, and I loved her more than anything. I never left the cave again after that day- until now, to play music.
