Kicking off with the title cut "Fenix," Lutgens wastes no time unloading that distinct ethereal-laced sound VOLTA is becoming synonymous with. Pulsating grooves, rippling low-frequency rumble, and rising musical resonance are all at play here, facilitating an expanding ebb and flow filled with atmospheric crescendos and deep-plunging breaks - hard-hitting interplanetary techno at its absolute finest yet again. "Sinistro" brings the release to a head with another firm hand strike.
