Jason Jollins - House of Rob set was recorded live on September 16, 2015 during the historic House of Rob event at Pacha New York where thousands gathered to celebrate the life & memory of Rob Fernandez.  

The House of Rob memorial consisted of over 75 DJ's. Each DJ performed a 30 minute DJ set with 100% of proceeds to benefit the family of Rob Fernandez. 

On Friday, July 10 - 2015, we lost legend and friend, Rob Fernandez.

Prior to my retiring from DJ'ing in 2011, I dj'd at Pacha NY for years and was booked directly by Rob Fernandez for many events outside of Pacha as well.

One of the greatest moments in my DJ career happened during my first headlining gig at Pacha NY. My dream ever since I started DJ'ing as a youngling back in 1989 was to headline a major venue in NYC. And while I had headlined many clubs in NYC prior to my first headlining gig at Pacha, it was my first Pacha headlining set in 2007 where I was finally content in knowing that I had fulfilled my goal which I had been working towards for almost two decades.

Leading up to this night on July 20, 2007; I was introduced to Rob Fernandez's team and was brought into several meetings to prepare for the event. It was here that I experienced first-hand the well-oiled promotion machine that Rob had built and it was extremely special to be a part of his team.

During the event, I distinctively remember a moment which I will never forget where the whole venue was celebrating in unison and I was literally in tears of joy. Rob was in the booth behind me, I hugged him and thanked him for this amazing opportunity. Rob was so happy for me at that moment, as I write this I am vividly remembering his smile. At this time, Rob was already a legend in the scene. Rob asking me to headline one of his events was one thing, but then being validated by Rob was icing on the cake. This moment is truly one of the happiest moments of my DJ career which spanned over two decades. This memory will always be with me and it was all made possible by Rob.

I played for Rob many more times after that July 2007 event. I have spent a lot of time with Rob through our work together and I got to know him well. Rob was always very approachable, would always welcome me with a smile, he would frequently joke around and always seemed to be in a great mood. He was surprisingly modest given all of his success and he always spoke positively about others. Rob had a really fun personality, but what I remember most about Rob was that he was always very honest and genuine.

Rob was truly passionate about his work and about the scene in general. The fact that he was so supportive of the local DJ scene is evidence of this. For as long as I can remember, Rob treated everyone as an equal and he used his events as a platform to help local DJ talent share their art.

Rob will always be remembered. His passing is a reminder that it's important to live your life to its fullest, the way that you want to live it. Life is short. Find your passion, immerse yourself within that passion and you will find success. Rob's success was directly correlated to his dedication, hard work, passion and living life exactly how he wanted to live it.

Rob played a significant part in my DJ career and in creating the electronic music scene we all have today.

RIP Rob Fernandez. As always, it was an honor and a privilege to perform in your house. You were in my heart throughout my entire set.

Jason Jollins - Live from the Vault - 1999

International DJ, Producer and record label owner Jason Jollins has been a driving force behind the underground electronic dance music movement in New York City since the late 1990's, considered throughout the industry as one of New York City's top EDM DJ's.

In a scene where producers often hold the spotlight, Jason has built a global following based primarily on his DJ sets, with his production work complementing his "DJ" career rather than defining it.

Best known for his extended genre-bending DJ sets, Jason has steadily built a reputation for cutting-edge dance floor selections weaved together with precision mixing. His eclectic, diverse and emotional sets are truly a reflection of his evolution as a performer, and reflect not only years of experience but also years of innovation as well.

All of this is not hard to imagine given Jason's early found passion for music and performance. From a very young age, it was clear to him that music was his mission, and already turning heads in his youth, Jason's early DJ sets in the nineties created a demand that transformed his passion into a full fledged career.

Throughout the years, Jason has held residencies at some of New York City's most prestigious venues such as Crobar, Centro Fly, Filter 14 and Avalon while also holding down a former Godskitchen NY residency.

From 2006 to 2010, Jason has played regularly with New York City's top electronic dance music production company Made Event at the city's biggest venues and outdoor events such as Electric Zoo, Roseland Ballroom and Nokia Theatre while also performing extended headlining sets at the world famous super club Pacha New York.

Outside of New York, Jason has performed throughout the world earning a loyal following at some of the world's finest venues. He has headlined and co-headlined for the biggest clubbing franchises in the world such as Ministry of Sound, Godskitchen, Ibiza Open, Pacha, Space (to name a few) and he was the only American DJ billed for the world renowned Creamfields Central Europe 2009 festival.

Throughout his career, Jason has also shared the stage with many other world renowned DJs such as Armin Van Buuren, Marcus Schulz, Paul Van Dyk, Sasha, Above & Beyond, Gabriel & Dresden, Ferry Corsten, Sander Van Doorn, Carl Cox, Hernan Cattaneo, Steve Lawler, Lee Burridge, Jimmy Van M, Anthony Pappa, Darren Emerson, Oscar G and many others.

2002 was a big year for Jason in terms of exposure as he was featured in the United States biggest clubbing culture magazine "BPM" for taking 1st place Progressive House mix in the BPM magazine dj contest. In the same year, Jason entered two important internet based DJ competitions held on the New York Tranceaddict.com forum and the Europe based Global Underground Forum where he took 1st place in both.

Amidst acquiring exposure on the DJ front, Jason started his record label Acute Recordings. Launched in May of 2002, Acute releases have graced the charts and playlists of many of the world's top talent including #1 charted releases on the prestigious balance record pool, a #1 best selling track on beatport.com, and with releases creating buzz in several magazines and media sources.

Throughout the years, Jason has appeared on radio stations throughout the world and on many of the top radio stations on the internet. Jason held a monthly radio show on Proton Radio for over 5 years being one of the first dj's to host a live Proton Radio dj show. Jason has also hosted shows on DLA Radio (Dance Latino America Radio), Stream.fm in Bulgaria, Di.Fm (Digitally Imported Radio) and the top internet radio station in Greece DanceRadio.Gr. Currently, Jason directs his music sharing focus into his popular "Jason Jollins Podcast" on iTunes which features free downloads of his live performances around the world.

Jason has appeared on television programs such as MTV and Fashion TV in several countries while his international performances have been sponsored by top brands such as Red Bull, Heineken, Johnny Walker, Marlboro, Camel and Coca-Cola to name a few.

These opportunities have considerably elevated Jason's status as a DJ and have given him the platform needed to form the strong following of fans that he has today.

In 2011, Jason decided to take a break from DJ'ing, only playing a few select local events in New York City with the occasional international gig.
