After the well-received release of his sophomore album No Immunity in February, and the accompanying EP including stellar remixes by Eli Escobar, Steve Huerta, Scuola Furano, and Lil Gabri among others (supported by Thump, KCRW, KEXP, Friend Within, Escort, Little Boots, DJ Mag, Discobelle, Less Than 3, & many more), Bronx-born indie dance artist Fiorious returns with the Dance Dance Dance EP.
 
The album’s second single is an ecstatic dancefloor interpretation of the classic Lykke Li track. “It’s always a tricky proposition to cover a song that you love,” says Fiorious, “But I just knew I wanted to bring this song to the dancefloor, and bring it out of its introverted shell, make it something to lose yourself to.”
 
This time around he recruited the mysterious and buzzed-about Madrid-based producer Bawrut (supported by Mixmag’s Hot 6, Jackmaster, DJ Mag, Data Transmission, Test Pressing, Axel Boman, Erol Alkan, Ransom Note, Bill Brewster, & more) for remix duties, crafting a dark, bubbling, acid banger with a cathartic vocal midsection breakdown suitable for sunrise sets.
 
Fiorious spent a few months in Madrid working with Bawrut on his next album, and the first taste of that forthcoming collaboration is “Never Fade,” a soulful, bittersweet midnight ballad with undeniable echoes of Chicago and Detroit. “I’m so excited to complete this next album, as it’s very personal and eclectic, but I didn’t want to wait many months so I just decided to drop this out right away for the summer.” Rounding out the set is another original, “Give Ourselves,” a No Immunity standout album track and fan-favorite that infectiously straddles house, electro-pop, acid, and new wave.
