The 'Hardcore Yearmix 2004' was released as a double CD on Megarave Records (MR052). The decision to release it on two discs was a commercial one, and not Jason's preferred choice. A two plus hours mix was created and simply cut in two halves for each of the CD's. So the never ending discussion on which CD was the better one was obviously a bit silly, as it was all just one mix. That original 2+ hours version contained 114 tracks from which 3 tracks had to be removed before the release because they did not get cleared.
This new 'the 73 minutes cut' has been cut down from the original version thus it contains the selected 114 tracks. All tracks have been drastically cut down in playing time meaning the mix now plays a lot more like most others in this series.
