The Long Emergency ~ Nerves Are Sighing

“Smile at the World” is the first track released from the upcoming 2022 release “Slow Down Time”. (Lp) be From west Tennessee singer songwriter Jason WeBB. The record will be JW’s 19th installment of  his solo music songwriting career. Everything you hear was recorded and produced on an i phone using the GarageBand application. No microphones were used to make the record. The song is a bluesy alternative rock song. Hope you enjoy:)

St. John - When - Maudlin Jerk Records. The band St. John was born in a college dorm room back in the fall of 2015 when front-man, Josh Shaw, and lead guitarist, Blake Galloway, spent their semester recording classes experimenting with minimalistic lo-fi music under the name “Blvck Hippie”.

The following summer, the project evolved into an indie-folk experiment under the new name “St. John”, in the absence of Blake who wanted to focus more on the business side of music. After the release of a 6 song EP, Josh performed solo sets as St. John and occasional full-band shows with varied line-ups.

Finally, following a few line-up changes, Gus Carrington (GU$) joined the band playing bass and Blake rejoined the project on guitar, thus marking the end of St. John as a solo project.

With influences from bands like The Strokes and lyrics based on internal turmoil, you have what the band calls “Sad Boy Indie Rock”.

U Do U is the first music from his upcoming new album, set for release in 2021. It takes listeners deeper into the psyche of Light Country’s favorite crimson clad hero.

“The song's about the kind of man we see a lot nowadays,” says The Kernal. “Full of himself and no one else--until he winds up on the wrong side of an HVAC man in a bar in Indiana and gets cracked across the jaw with an igloo cooler.”
