INTERVIEW
1. Most exciting club moment?

“Pretty much every gig is exciting. Kater Blau and Sisyphos are definitely something special but also clubs like Odonien in Cologne or our residency club, Graf Kauz in Frankfurt. On the other hand Sonne Mond Sterne is just an incredible festival.”

2. How would you describe your sound?

“Hard to describe. Deep Tech.”

3. How did you learn producing?

“Martin: Reason 2.0, more than 10 years ago, after playing piano for some years. Ableton changed a lot. Learned DJ’ing afterwards.
Yannik: Ableton, after DJ’ing.”

4. DAW?

“We both work with Ableton nowadays, often with midi control and sometimes hardware.”

5. Dream collab?

“In Germany with our Katermukke daddy Dirty Doering, internationally maybe Sonny Fodera, Cuartero etc. Generally with everyone from Katermukke or Suara, the labels we already released on.”

6. Where would you love to play live?

“Pretty much everywhere with an awesome crowd.”

7. Favorite DJ Setup?

“Pioneer CDJ 2000 NXS or XDJ 1000 with DJM-900.”

8. What do you think about DIT KLINGT JUT?

“Sounds good to us. Otherwise we would not be here, right? (;”

9. What keeps you going?

“Beats and beer, party and people.”

10. What makes dance music so special to you?

“Impossible to describe. Just a unique feeling on the dancefloor.”

11. What makes you laugh?

“A shit lot.”

12. What is your trademark?

“Two guys, two minds, two sounds. The fusion of both.”

13. You in 10 years?

“Still Matchy & Bott.”

14. Next release?

“Katermukke 120 Paris Nights EP.”

15. What do you listen to besides electronic music?

“Basically all music is electronic nowadays. (;”

16. Who will considerably give direction to the scene soon?

“Hopefully us. (;”

17. Favorite track at the moment/all time?

“Depends. Oxia – Domino is an absolute all time classic that works in the club.”

18. What you can’t stand?

“Party poopers.”

19. What distinguishes you and your music from other artists?

“Huge amount of output from Deep to Tech House releases on all different kinds of labels plus a unique sound everyone will recognize who once heard us live.”
