I have always had a love for Ambient music. I started making Ambient mixes about 30 years ago. I have been wanting to record a new ambient mix for a while and while I was in Iceland recently, inspiration came when I was record shopping in Reykjavik and I found a store called Space Odyssey that focused on ambient and chill music. The music that comes from Iceland has been an inspiration for me and in going there I wanted to see what was special about this country that so many amazing artists hail from it. So this mix comes from that inspiration. Artists include Brian Eno, Harold Budd, Sigur Ros, Nils Frahm, Olafur Arnalds, Hania Rani and so much more. Put this on when you want to unwind, relax and chill.

(Recorded during the summer of 2020) It’s been a year of highs and lows. Confusion and clarity. Fear and love. Separation and connection. The world held its breath and I stumbled and fell on my face. Something inside of me was shaken up and I knew I had to do something about it.

I begin this new year by offering myself through one of the most personal projects I have ever created. A mix of sounds and voices from the many inspirational artists that have assisted me through the corridors of uncertainty.  This mix has been a reflection of my experience and emotions throughout this pandemic and I invite you to take a ride through the bleeps, bloops, and boom of different genres of bass and beats.  

So if you’re curious, throw on a pair of headphones or go for a car ride (the more bass reproduction the better) and let the grooves take you on an adventure. My hope is as I get closer to myself, I get closer to you.
