Jasper Lewis (Live @ Rockwood Music Hall) - The King Of Ideas and the Weirdo Kid (Part 1)

Recorded a version of Wichita Lineman by the great Glen Campbell.  One of my all time favorite songs.  This song is a great example of using music to emphasize the character of the lyrics. 
 The music of this song follows its own compass, its not traditional, but its totally at home in its own skin.  It supports the character of the lineman, whose job is equal parts thrilling and mundane.  He's thinking about someone, but the song doesn't tell who.  It's up to the listener to decide.  I've been working hard on getting my mixing and recording chops back up and this song is good practice, and a nice distraction from the anxiety of working on my own material. I hope you enjoy.
