Musical trends are nothing more than waves that rise and fall according to fashions, desires and inspirations.
The current trend towards progressive house, mental techno and goa trance, for example, is merely a recuperation of initiatives launched in the 90s. Yet we're improving the sound, making it more modern and reappropriating it to suit our generation.

The two artists featured on this latest issue of tdt are all in love with paying tribute to those famous years, and they do it particularly well. They are the very reason why we continue to look to the past to produce a present that strives to do better.

Both club-oriented and at the same time introspective and intimate, the worlds of Pjenne and Jolly encourage exploration, and that's exactly what we're interested in here!

Lastvuska emerges as a mysterious maestro, DJ and producer. He navigates in-between atmospheric, dub and organic sounds with sets that will pull you into the hypnotic realms of trance, techno, and ambient—sensitive selections that become portals to unseen dimensions.

For this mix, he weaved together a tapestry of music that merges deep atmospheres, organic textures, and entrancing sounds. Combining recent productions with tastefully selected tunes from past generations, creating a seamless blend of old and new.

"So I took advantage of this opportunity to deliver one of my most club-oriented podcasts. Well, all my podcasts are club-oriented, but I wanted to get as close as possible to the energy I like to give off in the club by recording from home.
I always like to go through different emotions, whether it's via progressive house which, for me, lays the foundations for a set, hardhouse which I use almost every time, in the middle of the set for its energy, and those communicative voice samples, and trance which I leave to wait for the dose of melancholy. Of course, this order is never definitive, and depending on the audience, even if the trance is at the heart of my artistic approach, I like to create frustration, having people wait for it to arrive by leaving a few bits and pieces during the set!
In a podcast, unlike a live show, it's me who completely chooses the order, and I hope that people will understand this when they listen at home."

His musical journey ranges from progressive house and trance to techno, with sounds and inspirations that are resolutely 90's & 2000's. Both retro-nostalgic and modern, Jolly juggles with intensity and emotions in order to offer both festive, atmospheric & introspective journeys on the dance-floor.

"With this mix, I wanted to convey a range of emotions that I like to play on a dancefloor. Both atmospheric and energetic. I projected myself onto a set I could have played at sunset in summer time, beside a lake sublimated by the rays of the setting sun. A suspended moment, where the sun and the floating emotions of the music become one, transporting the audience with euphoric gentleness and restraint."
