Spending hours, days, months, etc., crafting a collage of samples into a cohesive piece of new music is awesome art, and one Shawn Wasabi (@sssshawnnnn) is quickly becoming a master at. Aside from creating new melodic themes from found fragments of hundreds of different songs, he also performs and records each work live. You may have seen one of Shawn’s many multi-million breaking Youtube videos, but not many know these are each performed in one take. The kid’s a legend, and he’s one of the first to be pushing a cute, bubbly and hyper sound to a bigger audience in the states. We’re stoked to be sharing Shawn’s NEST HQ MiniMix with y’all today.

We've been following @xandg since Xian and Gaszia joined forces for their debut 4AM EP over two years ago, and the duo has grown in sound and stature since then. This summer, X&G made their NEST label debut with a menacing, noxious remix of cln's "Breathe," and at the start of the month they released their second album Persona, which keeps the hard bass scene on its toes.

Though the album's three biggest singles were freely available six months before the album dropped, Persona still surprised with a smattering of deep tunes in its back half, like the powerful "BELONG" or the absolutely bat-shit "Hate Machine" (which they discuss in our interview). The time is ripe for X&G to bring a NEST HQ MiniMix, and indeed they have slayed forth on this one, which traverses a lot of territory but never ceases to go hard. Cheers to X&G for another great album and an exciting year to come, and thanks for the awesome MiniMix! Totally obsessed, we asked @Iglooghost to make us an exclusive mix. Full of his own tunes, as well as some from the likes of Kai Whiston, Howie Lee, Sega Bodega and Joseph Marinetti, it'll have you typing/walking/doing whatever it is you're doing rn faster and more efficiently than ever before. 

"This mix is made up of a lot of music I think sounds cool in my ears and brain," he told i-D. "I made it in my new enormous gold mansion. I also chat to my assistant - Gü - at some point within the mix. Hope u like it friends."
