Originally from Cornwall, England, Hocking began DJing a decade ago whilst at university in Birmingham, and soon after picked up a residency at the infamous Rainbow Club. Hocking has a passion for finding hidden gems from the 90s and 00s and blending these with an array of modern electronic sounds, always sustaining a positive energy on the dancefloor. This could be anything on the electronic music spectrum from house through to trance, electro, and rave. He’s now cemented his place in Vietnam over the past 4 years, bringing this sound to clubs and events such as Savage, Electric Bazaar, (Re)Treat festival, Likdo Festival and more recently, helping form the Thêm collective, along with a close group of friends in Hanoi.

Recorded during his closing set after Dee Diggs in Savage’s Red Cube club room in December 2023. Expect a selection of club-ready cuts taking you through to the end of the night.

He is the mastermind behind Hudd Traxx, a  label that has released works from renowned artists such as Chez Damier, Iron Curtis, Brett Johnson, DJ Sneak, and Chris Carrier, for over a decade. The tenth anniversary of Hudd Traxx was celebrated at the iconic Fabric London. In addition to his DJ success, Eddie has made his mark as a producer with standout releases on labels like Robsoul, helmed by the Frenchman Phil Weeks, and on Balance Alliance, founded by the legend Chez Damier.

Check out this all vinyl mix which is a recreation of a dj set I recently played at Rumbler Bar in Naarm in April. It was such a good vibe playing the 12-3am set that I had to recreate it. It’s always hard to capture the essence of the night as the energy in that moment was special, but I felt it was definitely worth a shot.

Mixed in my home studio with 2 technics 1200 mkIIs and a Condesa Lucia, the music is peak time house, disco and afro flavours where the dance floor was full and locked in the groove. Enjoy the set.
