A re- recording of my closing set 3:30-5am at Alfresco Disco on NYD 2024- a journey though 90s/00s and present day faves, a few anthems, a few curveballs, plenty of percussion and a big ol' eclectic mix of hi-NRG euphoria. Loved playing this set so much, hope you enjoy.

@a-l-f-a-l-f-a is a vinyl dj and producer hailing from uruguay, currently
based in köln, germany. he runs the label @mephis-records, which specializes in uruguayan underground music.

Alfalfa focuses on analog synthesis and sound design. He draws influence from the uruguayan maestros like Z@p and Omar, as well as the more minimalistic Electro and Acid referents like Eversines, Innerlakes, Do or Die and Matthias. His sound oscillates between Electro, Techno, Breaks and Acid. He has a deep passion for melodies that evoque a mixture of nostalgia and euforia.

This is Vol. 6. Previously uploaded for my friends @gingerblack_official when they were running the CHRISTA KUPFER Club nights in Berlin, giving clubbers a shelter from Covid lockdowns ❤️

Once upon a time, there was this music called HOUSE. It was played from vinyl records on TURNTABLES. None of it was available for download. You had to ask the DJ for a track ID. This music was being played IN CLUBS, only. Back then you had to be in the House to listen & DANCE to House.

I'm not saying this was the better days but this is a flashback to these times. Vinyl only, one-take DJ mix. You'll find none of these tunes on Shazam or on Beatport or iTunes. Oh and forget about Spotify, too. This is da real shit for real headz... Straight from New Jersey, Chicago, London and New York City.

Check out this all vinyl mix which is a recreation of a dj set I recently played at Rumbler Bar in Naarm in April. It was such a good vibe playing the 12-3am set that I had to recreate it. It’s always hard to capture the essence of the night as the energy in that moment was special, but I felt it was definitely worth a shot.

Mixed in my home studio with 2 technics 1200 mkIIs and a Condesa Lucia, the music is peak time house, disco and afro flavours where the dance floor was full and locked in the groove. Enjoy the set.
