"Honored to add some beats, bass, synths reworking "A Tear To A Smile", one of the tracks by Roy Ayers I prefere. 
I can't help but play some instruments when tracks inspires me, so at the end of my "Smiling A Tear" version there's a flute impro I played, trying to be connected with the original track .. and .. it was exciting to find myself hiding a bit the flute level to amalgamate it with the rest of the band. Playing some nice synths and pianos was exciting as well."

The sixth edit in the "12 edits of Xmas" series is a preview of something I'll be releasing in 2012 and is one those tracks that had a major influence on me as a teenager. In 1984 when it came out I was massively into the electro funk stuff emanating from New York and this was the record that made me realise that machines have soul as well as funk! In many ways this is one of the key tracks that paved the way for the house music revolution.
