Acrux is the name of a star distant 325 light years from the solar system, it is part of the Southern Cross constellation, 2022 years ago, at the time of the birth of Jesus (who would later be associated with the sign of the Roman cross).
	At midnight in February it was visible above the horizon from the latitude of Jerusalem, Mesopotamia and Persia, and may have been the star they followed the Magic Kings from the east on their journey from Jerusalem to Bethlehem.
	The acousmatic work relates the concepts of astronomy, religion, history and possible origins of human culture from other stellar systems.

Hosomi Ayako (1907–1997) was a prominent haiku poet from Aogaki, Hyogo. After a series of personal tragedies, including the deaths of her husband and mother, she found solace in haiku during an illness. She later married Sawaki Kinichi, leader of the modern haiku group Kaze, and was deeply involved in the haiku community until her passing at 90.

Wavelet Kata - Quantum Doorbell

for some reason this contribution to the Disquiet community project took real long. not only did i have to micropitch a lot of this and do dozens of slight timing realignments to the MIDI in it. just to achieve that certain sound to the melody stuck in my head for this promt was real hard work. it definitely helped for further next projects in more than just one way. to grap the beginning of some book and put those first words in it into music isn't something one would just do in a few minutes. as is reading so is finding an equivalent to it in sound an act of giving in to that world, giving it room and time to reflect on thus jurney. so i came up with the intention to include something thats in most of the books around: the publisher and the year of publication, minor details on the text and/or its origin. that is the arpeggiated line in the beginning of my song. then the realy first words and sentences follow, this certain curiosity, that somehow suspense momentum to what might actually happen in the next few minutes and hours. for me this will always, for every book be that melody i worked on, again and again with every new book i try to get in to. hence it is all quite simple. i hope you enjoy.

Ich ergründe einen Klang in meinen Gedanken ^^ und breche ihn auf ^^ um seine alltäglichen und bekannten Elemente zu schichten ^^ und in serieller Weise sein Timbre aus alten und neuen Teilen nachzuformen.
Ich erforsche was wirklich einen Klang ausmacht und wie ich mit dessen langweiligen und meist überflüssigen Teilen etwas originelles schaffen kann das bekannte Sounds in einen hoffentlich neuen und inspirierenden Kontext setzt.

I explore a sound in my mind and break it down to layer its everyday and familiar elements and serially recreate its timbre from old and new parts.
I explore what really makes a sound and how I can take its boring and mostly superfluous parts and create something original that hopefully puts familiar sounds into a new and inspiring context.

the assignment was to come up with a sentence that describes our approach, my practice of creating a new track. took ages to find some words that really match in that context and accompany a true to it concept for this project. i usually wont work with vocals and/or spoken word so this was quite tricky and until mixing and mastering stage it took such a long time giving me real headache (again) but i like with what i came up reflecting what really reflects my work agenda. you should decide if in my track a certain vibe of "chain" or chained parts is to be heard or not, i personally thing i somehow missed that part of this compositional concept. anyway this might well be one of my best tracks this year so far.

produced  on Fostex TH7 headphones, mixed and checked on Fostex pm0.5D and a cheap 2.1 system, arranged in Bitwig Studio
