"Night Shift" reflects a honest vision of what it means to be an artist nowadays. Javier and producer Quiroga present a contemporary R&B album simmered with a perfect balance of mid-tempos, slow jams and up-tempos, rescuing the essence of urban anthems of the 90s with the electronic sophistication of today. Javier is committed to a higher level with a wider repertoire, covering different topics including politics and a straight forward critical vision of his surroundings. "Night shift" means what needs to be done by thousands of artists non endorsed by the music industry, a tribute to the vocational artists with conventional jobs so they can pay their bills, but also involves the transformation of the artist and this double life, the public and the private, and only the introspection on both led Javier to write and compose a direct and solid repertoire with no further aim than making a good sound for a good audience. Although it may seem a newcomer Javier Simon has over 10 years of journey in the recording industry as a songwriter for artists on international labels and advertising campaigns. He has worked as a singer, songwriter and producer for Warner, Sony and Universal in countries like Sweden, Canada and the United States. He was once a crooner, has been in a boy band, released a solo album and when bored he reinvents himself. Each artist has a purpose and Javier's is just to be the artist he wants to be and makes the music he wants to do. It is certainly the best known Soul and R&B artist  in Spain and since he lives in London and writes exclusively in English, opens the door to a more ambitious, global, multicultural and urban sound era. Being multilingual and an infallible melody maker, he looks up to the 90's biggest artists, the ones that made music for all audiences and were in the industry to stay, despite he's a free spirit.
