Late Afternoon To Dusk In An African Rainforest (binaural/headphones)

In no particular order, short clips featuring my Fender Power Jazz Bass Special (a P/J with the coils of the P flipped) with Reed James pickups and 500K pots recorded directly (no preamp) into a Focusrite 2i4 interface and into the interface, via XLR cable from their D.I. outputs, through a Jule Amps Monique, a Mesa Walkabout, an Arkham Zephyr, a Demeter 201, and the tube and FET channels of a Genz Benz GBE 1200.

No effects, EQ, or compression used.  

Amps/preamps are EQed with the same basic sound in mind -- they are not perfectly matched -- I could have dialed back some upper treble or reined in the bass a bit on a track or two -- but it should serve to give you some rough idea of the sound.  

I originally recorded each amp on the neck pickup, then both, then the bridge pickup, but decided that was a bit much, so am just excerpting the neck pickup bit here.
