Amazingly it's been 8 years since vol 4! Since then not only have I filled in a few more gaps in my Dillinja collection, a bunch of his golden unreleased tracks from the 90s have since been released on Deep Jungle, Dom & Roland Productions and V Recordings.

So it felt like the right time for another installment - the longest yet at 2 hours (there was a lot to cram in!).

The sheer volume of work he put out in the 90s is staggering - there's still a few records I'm yet to collect and I've been at it for years. And imagine you're that good that your unreleased stuff from the 25 years ago still sounds as good, if not better than anything produced today? Legend.

Second compilation mix of this Friday is Emotif's legendary compilation from earlyish '96, giving a definitive snapshot of techstep: futuristic, brutal, uncompromising. An important precursor to the likes of Torque - most of the tracks here are from Nico, Trace & Ed Rush, with Doc Scott, Cronic Crew (Krust), The Limit (Grooverider) & Raw Deal/Elementz of Noise along for the ride. Whether or not you know this LP I strongly recommend you stop whatever you're doing and get stuck in. EZ.
