1. Tell us about your radio show

 I host a monthly residency on N10AS in Montreal called Echo Chamber, or ECFM for short. I’ve hosted some form of radio for 3 years while a student in Vermont, but this one feels special and more considered. I started bringing on guests in the beginning of 2024, and it’s led to a really engaging open-format sound to become a motif. It’s also given me a ton of really important and formative relationships with people I wouldn’t have met if it weren’t for radio.

2. Who are some artists that you’ve been playing in your sets?

 I’ve been really trying to work my way backwards with Jungle specifically, learning the past feels most important. I finally got my hands on some decent-sounding digitals of all the old Ganja Records releases, which have been super influential. Obviously, new stuff can sound incredibly similar (Intaception, Future Retro, Deep Jungle, N4, etc), but understanding the context makes all those labels much more exciting. To answer more formally: Swap Meet, DJ Seduction, Dwarde, Pugilist, DJ Gunshot, Undercover Agent, or any Juice/Splash Recordings release.

The festive season is here and I just hit 2 million plays, so it's a double celebration. Now if, like me, you think that nothing says Christmas like a bit of soul-crushingly dark techstep then I'm sure this festive offering won't disappoint. Indeed, this idea is one I've been sat on for a while; my mixing habits have definitely slowed this year but I really wanted to grind a decent one out before 2025. 

The mix rationale then. Caught up somewhere between my 500th listening of Trace & Ed Rush's legendary '97 One In The Jungle set, and the preceding year's Tech Steppin compilation, I found myself asking a simple question. What if the legendary (and it really is fucking legendary) 'No U-Turn Experience' mix had been made a year earlier? 2 hours of everything with Pete Parsons name on. 

Before I knew what was what and who was behind the records I had a hit list that in later years I realised was tied togther with that Parsons genius. This mix collects together everything from solo productions, co-produced tunes through to tracks engineered by or mixed by the man himself. Pete always brought that buy on sight quality with the added extra magic and depth. I was chatting with Remedee about what makes his productions call out the goosebumps and Connor hit the nail on the head "It's emotion". Alongside that key ingredient, everything comes with a big ol heaped spoon of creativity and always the quality production. As a bonus its generally dj friendly arrangement (except maybe Rythm Process lol). Anyways respect to the grand master, the daddy don - thank you for doing it right 🙏🏻

At the start of 2025 Soultribe music hosted a remix competition with a Track called "Baby Give Me Something" by Stodius . many people attempted the remix , we we have chose a few of our favourites to add on to our new EP .  artist like Jerid , Dj Shaggy , TAIIOK007, Muzical Fluzy who won the competition. and a few artist you already know from STM like Absolute magnitude and Evil Ape also give us there remix to add to this extremely varied EP . all DNB but different sub genres . for example TAIIOK007 hits us with a fast in your face heavy metal inspired version and Muzical Fluzy winds it down to a beautiful liquid version . all of these are so different and really well crafted .At the Start of the EP we drop the Original mix that has been very popular on radio played at gigs and been on many different Spotify Playlists . 
 we really enjoyed doing this and we hope we can inspire other people to get involved in our next competition

Stodius - BGMS (MuzicalFluzy Rmix)

Space is a frozen void, filled with silence and the distant flicker of stars. Engineering structures drift through the endless cold, intricate and flawlessly calculated, as if assembled by an unseen hand following the blueprints of an unknown architect.
