It was in 2014 when a mutual friend introduced me to Victor Ruiz while he was staying here in Berlin. I invited Victor to my studio where we had a fantastic session, playing our music to each other, listening to stuff we like and simply talkin and connecting. Since then, we became close friends as well as starting to work together. Victor has released two outstanding EPs on Electric Ballroom by now. This summer we met again and recorded three tracks. The result is our first joint EP, of which I am very proud. (Thomas Schumacher, November 2015)

Our next release should be the best example of when old-school meets new school, or in other words two friends joining together in the studio: Joe Red & SP1DER. As a result we have this gem in our hands. 

In one side we have one of Baum’s secret weapon at his recent shows called “Play Like This”. A hip-hop influenced tech-house production. Chunky beats and powerful vocal, simple and effective. As second track we find “OBEH”, a track in a more percussive way which plays with the dancefloor from the first beat and reaches the climax with a mental break. 

To give a twist to this EP we mix a new face with a Baumhaus usual artist. In first place our beloved CAAL, shows his skills doing a more complex re-interpretation of ‘PLT’ respecting the original groove and vocal. Finally we recruited a new talent to the Baumhaus day-to-day growing family: Glen Coombs. He takes another step forward in his remix adding synths all over the track.
