35 year old Hertfordshire based Drum & Bass DJ, Producer and Label owner of Train Recordings - Jack Rance aka “Jaxx” is known for his full impact dancefloor music and DJ sets. His journey started from early where he learned to play guitar & bass from the age of 12, growing up and around 15 he found himself listening to tape and CD packs from the likes of Mampi Swift, Bryan Gee, DJ Hype and the Full Cycle crew which lit the fire for his love of Drum & Bass. From the young age of 18, Jaxx started to go raving which further cemented his decision to devote his time and energy to this culture. Jaxx bought his first set of turntables at the age of 19 and began honing his skills and talents as a DJ, which has allowed to him play in various places throughout the UK & Europe. Shortly after, he moved onto music production and quickly developed his own unique style which has gained support throughout the scene to date from the likes of DJ Hype, Rene Lavice (BBC Radio 1), Logan D, Break and Bladerunner to name some. At the end of 2012 he started Train Recordings which to date has had over 60 releases and the tracks are gaining a lot of support across the scene from industry heavyweights. In 2016, Jaxx officially joined the Natty Dub Recordings roster after releasing the collaborative remix of Cabin Fever’s “Make Your Move” alongside Illphaze, and the monster track ‘Persepolis”. Since then he has delivered a whole bunch of singles and EP's for the label plus a string of colab releases.
In 2024 like always he is working hard in the studio on a regular basis and has a number of releases on labels such as Grid Recordings, Colab Recordings, Murky Digital & more.
