世田谷のソウルマンOpticが新しい作品『SURF BREAKS』をカセットテープでリリース！
昨年、緊急事態宣言が発令され外出が難しくなった時期に制作がスタートした今作は自身が行きたい、訪れたい場所をイメージして作られた。
きらびやかな90`sフレイバーな上物にタイトなドラムがクールな”REAL”波の音から始まりRhodesとVocalのLo-FIな音像が妖艶な”HOLD”ソウルフルなサンプリングにトラップビートからのブーンバップが際立つ”PONDEROSA”で締めるBEAT SIDE。
一方、B面は前作同様にHOUSE SIDEとし4曲のハウストラックを収録。ジャジーなピアノループとミニマルなドラムシーケンスで攻る"BROTHER"Moodymann、DJ Sneakライクなサンプリングがマーベラスなディスコトラック"SOMETHING"Juno-106による浮遊感あるシンセと波の音がブレイクで入るアトモスフィリックハウス"POWER"
各楽曲はMPC3000を中心にJomox Alpha Base,DSI Tempest,Juno-106などハードウエア機材を中心に制作。マスタリングはPHONONのIsao Kumano、イラストレーションは箕輪麻紀子、ジャケットデザインはSummerboyが担当。カセットテープは限定50本、DLコード付き。（番外編ビートアルバムのLOST BREAKSのDLコード含む）
