@piganddan have been an institution of the international techno scene for over two decades. Two titans that have now joined us in our “Multiverse of Music” with 90 minutes of their vibrant signature sound for your listening pleasure!

The formation of Pig&Dan may have been an unusual one, but was no doubt fate. The two crossed paths on a flight to Mallorca back in 1999, when Dan was a resident DJ at Ministry of Sound and touring globally, and Igor was deep in the world of illegal underground raves whilst producing music under the name Tropic 39. By that stage the two had gone through a number of strong formative years surrounded by music.

Since then, Pig&Dan have achieved an amazing back-catalogue of releases on labels including Soma, Plus8, Terminal M, Diynamic, Bedrock and most recently Drumcode. Chart topping releases came in the form of ‘Growler’ and their landmark LP ‘Modular Baptism’ on their own label ELEVATE. And not forgetting their 2016 debut to Adam Beyer’s Drumcode with ‘Mexico’ and ‘Chemistry’ which sat at the No.1 Techno Track spot on Beatport for over 2 months, leading to signing 3 more EP’s with the label.

Pig&Dan are still all about the music, and always will be. Continuing to release quality music like their ‘Reset Your Bassline’ EP on Cocoon, ‘Infinity’ EP on Drumcode, or even remixing Deadmau5’s ‘gula (ov)’, whilst some are more personal like ‘Promised’ on Truesoul. It appears however that 2020 could be the most important and transformative year yet. Having launched a new live show last year in Fabric (UK), Warung (BR) and AIM Festival (CA) to name a few, Pig&Dan are ready to take over the music sphere with a two part release dropping on Drumcode in March. We expect to hear a lot more of Pig&Dan this year and are excited to see what further projects the duo will reveal.

Oscar L is a point of reference in the Techno and Tech-House scene with more than 15 years of an international career. His productions, characterized by a very unique sound that combines classic and peculiar influences at the same time, have reached the highest positions on the international sales charts, being played by the most iconic artists of the globe like Richie Hawtin, Adam Beyer, Marco Carola, Nicole Moudaber, Danny Tenaglia or Ilario Alicante to name a few. He has signed with the most prestigious record labels of the moment such as Drumcode (Adam Beyer's label), Knee Deep In Sound (Hot Since 82's label), Stereo Productions (Chus & Ceballos's label), Truesoul (Adam Beyer's label), We Are The Brave (Alan Fitzpatrick's label), 1605 (Umek's label) among others are some of the biggest labels where you will find Oscar's productions.

A tasteful mixture that has been used to put a good handful of tracks at the top of the Techno and House charts. These capabilities have given Oscar the opportunity to travel the world making the most diverse audiences dance. Dozens of cities from different continents worldwide have enjoyed the intensity and warmth that his sets transmit to the dance floor. But the diffusion of his music does not end there, for a few years now, Oscar has also been directing his own radio show, D-Mix, which is broadcasted in 16 countries through 130 different stations. Oscar L's professional framework continues to expand, foreshadowing a prolific future and a privileged position amongst the most outstanding figures of his country.

Enrico Sangiuliano experienced the sort of rise that will serve as inspiration for many a bedroom producer out there. Well known in his native Italy as a class DJ, Sangiuliano played his local circuit for 10 years before the world took notice.

After building on his production skills and developing his own sound, the Italian began getting signed to some of the world's top techno labels including Truesoul, Herzblut and Gem Records, but it wasn’t until 2015 that he gained traction on an international scale. His breakthrough track, a remix of DJ Boris’ 'Can You Hear Me', sat at #1 on Beatport’s techno chart for a staggering 14 weeks. Backing it up time and time again, the techno mastermind has almost spent more time in the charts than he has out of them. In 2015 Enrico sat at #8 for the world's best selling techno artist, a feat he then bettered in 2016 when he claimed the #1 spot.

More recently he was asked to remix the Moby classic 'Why Does My Heart Feel So Bad', and in typical Sangiuliano-style, he delivered an absolute belter. Fast forward to today, and after taking a four-month break from production, Enrico has recently returned back to the studio. Ahead of his upcoming Australian tour, he’s told Balance that there is plenty of new music on it’s way, some of which can be found in this Balance Selections podcast. The mix is an hour slice from a set earlier in March at the huge Rotterdam Rave in Massilo, Rotterdam (where he shared the bill with acts like Alan Fitzpatrick, Dave Clarke, Joris Voorn and more). Be ready. This one goes off like a bomb from the get go….
