UPSTAIRS is a Christmas tale about God, the Holy Spirit, and the leaders who walk in disciplined honor under divine guidance. It honors the One above all, and the men and women He appoints — those who listen, obey, and allow the Spirit to shape their steps. Nexus has always been placed on the top floor of every building the church guided him to, a physical sign of spiritual elevation, but the song opens this role to all who walk in the same disciplined love. The goal is not to exalt one man, but to clone the best man — to raise leaders who walk as he walks, hear as he hears, and serve as he serves.

“Staying outside and laying traps to fall” describes what the man upstairs sees darkness doing. The traps target the people of green — those with the green light to live freely in the Kingdom, the children raised in love, the honorable who grow, build, and uplift. Darkness seeks to corrupt them, but the man upstairs sees every scheme, warns, and protects.

The winds blow all the things of old — the evil ways and corrupted habits that cannot survive in God’s presence. These are the winds of new, sweeping away what does not belong. Outside the Kingdom, they destroy corruption, greed, and foolishness. Inside the Kingdom, they refresh and renew, revealing what must change and bringing clarity, wisdom, and direction. The man upstairs remains in the warmth of the Kingdom, watching the evils laid by darkness get scattered with ease. He teaches through the stories of those blown away by their own corruption, asking, “Why won’t they learn?” For evil is stupidity — a doomed strategy against the winds of God and the wisdom of His Kingdom.

“I am everything above and beneath” reveals divine presence as both authority and foundation. The man upstairs is not confined to height — he guides leaders from within and without. The song becomes a Christmas prayer: “This Christmas I call, I listen, I pray.” The man upstairs warns, “Don’t stray.” The path is personal, crafted by God, shaped by parents, and sealed on one’s christening day. Christmas becomes a moment of recalibration — a reminder that leadership is Spirit‑led, not self‑made.

“I’m a man, I’m a child, a woman or boy” declares that leadership is not limited by age or gender. The man upstairs teaches joy, love, and the understanding of hate without ever showing His face. He shapes fate, place, and purpose, teaching discernment: “Is it love or hate?” UPSTAIRS shows that leaders rise through obedience, not ego; that power flows from the people; that the Holy Spirit guides action; and that leadership is service, not domination. The mission is to raise more leaders — to clone the best man so all walk in honor, in a Kingdom where correction does not destroy and hierarchy does not oppress.

This Christmas, UPSTAIRS calls every listener to listen to the Holy Spirit and let Him guide each step with precision and discipline. It teaches that leadership is honored through clarity and status, because status is clarity, and clarity is clearance. Clear speech opens gates, while unclear speech can unintentionally block blessings. When you repeat the words you were taught, saying them exactly as they were meant, you honor the one who taught you and reveal that you have already risen. This protects the mission and keeps the words pure in every situation that calls you to lead. Without clarity, others may use you as a scapegoat while they intentionally perpetuate harm, but clarity protects you, protects the Kingdom, and exposes darkness. UPSTAIRS calls you to protect the green, discern wisely, and lead with humility — for power is service, clarity, and the ability to uphold the words that shaped you.

UPSTAIRS is not just a song — it is a Christmas doctrine of leadership, vigilance, and divine guidance, honoring God, honoring the leaders He appoints, and inviting every listener to rise into their calling.
