The enigmatic Hyenah steps into the spotlight once again for its third Freerange release, with a remix by Frankey & Sandrino - that of which is premiering exclusively here on DHA.

Featuring on the track, The Idea, is SA’s Lazarusman who lays down his distinctive spoken-word vocals over powerful blasts of afro percussion-heavy beats on the very special remix from the German duo Frankey & Sandrino. Since their formation in late-2010, Frankey & Sandrino have released on the mighty Innervisions and Zurich-based Drumpoet regularly, in which their tracks received early spins from Dixon, Ame and Mano Le Tough.

The Idea will be release April 15th on vinyl via Freerange Records with eventual digital releases to follow May 6th.

Zwei neue Tracks hat @hyenahmusic entworfen, die nun via @freerangerecords erscheinen. „Das Hauptaugenmerk liegt auch der Nummer „The Idea“", sagt der Musiker, der das Werk mit dem Südafrikaner @lazarusman aufnahm. Kennengelernt haben sich die beiden in Johannesburg: „Und es hat wirklich klick gemacht, also beschlossen wir, zusammen zu arbeiten. Er schickte mir seine Lyrics, um die ich den Track baute.“ Herausgekommen ist also ein Track, der sie Worte Lazarusman angenehm reflektiert. „Der Track hat auch noch einen fantastischen Remix von meinen Freunden Frankey & @sandrino bekommen." Jimpster's renowned 'Eel Pie Island' track saw its release on the standout 10 Years of Systematic compilation last year. Now, after widespread support, label boss Marc Romboy has commissioned a set of remixes to give the track an extra lease of life for the coming summer months. Jonas Rathsman announces his latest offering with cutting-edge innovators Crosstown Rebels. ‘Complex’ featuring Josef Salvat is released on 10th June 2016.

This is a tech-blues odyssey, an introverts primal scream, where complex emotions and urges are vented and perfectly complemented by Rathsman’s explorations into the dark corners of electronic music. Enjoy the journey. With the release only in the hands of a select few tastemaker DJs, ‘Complex’ has been making waves at the recent Miami Winter Music Conference, “receiving hands in the air welcomes and even a sit down ovation” according to label boss Damian Lazarus. ‘Complex’ is set to be the first underground anthem of 2016.

The release comes with two carefully chosen remixes. First up is Swiss techno stalwart Deetron, who steers the song into percussive acid oblivion while Serge Devant offers up his deep house expertise for a dramatic and driving offbeat cut.

With his instantly recognisable sound, Jonas has found praise the world over for his keen ear and transcendent sets, which have captivated listeners on both the international club and festival scenes.

Following his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix, Rathsman continues to showcase his technical capabilities and impressive track selection with his bi-monthly mix series ‘ELEMENTS’, now on its fourth instalment.

Released back in 2006, 'Atlas' has reached its ten year anniversary and what better way to celebrate than with some shiny new remixes? From one duo another, Swiss pair Adriatique have swapped DIYmanic for devilish with their new re-imagining.

They've taken the techno bruiser and turned into a twinkly builder, one that keeps intact all of the components that make the original so good. The colossal main riff is still there, creating a nice amount of dread while tones flutter innocently in the background.

French duo Birds of Mind makes its debut on Underyourskin Records with one of the most outstanding tunes in recent House history . ‘Flying Through the Soul‘ perfectly prepares dancefloors in summer for a spiritual and emotional ride full of hope, mournfulness, severity and melancholy expressed through a shaman vocal chant that unfolds its power in the deepness of the synth melody with additional folk samples. Just Emma‘s remix lowers the tempo of the original adding their magnificant crunchy baseline and flavoring the melody with groaning synth sounds that make the track more and more hypnotical in the course implementing these engrossing chants to have a start to finish winning. The second remix comes from Dutch producer El Mundo who adds an Iberian touch to the track by bringing in a Mediterranian guitar that points out the confidence. Birds of Mind‘s second tune ‘Palang Kuh‘ completes the EP with a synth-driven downtempo vibe with arps flying around like boomerangs cutting the air.
