This is a song that Josh and his cousin Paul came up with on Thanksgiving night, after everyone went to bed. They were working on a much longer composition, but got stuck in the jam after looking at each other and wordlessly saying, "this is the magic, stick with it." We were playing an electric guitar and a stand-up bass to a looper disco beat when we recorded this. So, of course, Josh asked Ken if he'd add some real drums, which he did as though he were in the room jamming with us. Then josh laid down some organ to go with the jam. Josh and Stephen also had the idea to add some banjo in here, which Stephen did like the excellent musician he is. He also managed to mix this live recording hybrid with exceptional skill. 
  This is an example of two musicians who are intimately familiar with each other, and each other's playing and sensibilities, accompanied by two other musicians who have become nearly as familiar over the past few years. Happy belated Turkey Day to everyone. We hope you enjoy listening to this as much as we enjoyed making it

Another track inspired by Adrian Tchaikovsky's "Shards of Earth" novel. The Groppler is an alien lifeform... but not quite like the artwork. The music is more about the tremendous action sequences as what is left of the Vulture God crew land themselves in a messy fight.

The city of Brussels is the capital and seat of government of the Kingdom of Belgium. It forms the center of the Brussels-Capital Region, is one of its 19 municipalities, and has approximately 190,000 inhabitants.

The bilingual Brussels-Capital Region, along with Flanders and Wallonia, is one of three regions in Belgium's federal system. It is a contiguous urban area with approximately 1.21 million inhabitants (as of January 1, 2019) and comprises 19 municipalities, which are comparable to city districts. With around 7,441 inhabitants per square kilometer, it has a high population density. Therefore, it is not comparable to the metropolitan areas that extend far into the surrounding countryside and are defined around many major European cities. The Brussels metropolitan area is considerably larger than the Brussels-Capital Region.

Several federal institutions are located there: Brussels is the administrative center of the Brussels-Capital Region. It also houses the administrative headquarters of the French Community of Belgium, while the Walloon Region is based in Namur. The institutions of the Flemish Community and the Dutch-speaking Community have merged and are also located in Brussels. Furthermore, the city is home to the headquarters of the European Union, the headquarters of NATO, the permanent secretariat of the Benelux countries, and EUROCONTROL.

First documented in 996 and having risen to become the capital of the Duchy of Brabant in the Middle Ages, Brussels became the capital of Belgium upon its independence in 1830. Together with its surrounding municipalities, Brussels is today an important economic, scientific and cultural center as an industrial and commercial city with two universities, several colleges, academies, libraries, museums and theaters, as well as a major transport hub in the center of the country.

Dire need...

A dark, intimate spoken piece about being right there and still outside.

This track is me sitting with the questions that have been unfolding quietly across my whole life:

How much of yourself can you translate before you forget your own language? At what point does "adapting" start to feel like disappearing? Which parts of me are truly me, and which parts are just survival code running in the background? How do you ask for connection without turning yourself into a performance? How do I find acceptance while still being myself?

I don’t think it’s about villains. I think it’s about defaults. About systems that sort first and listen later. About the invisible little fees you keep paying when you don’t fit neatly into the shape that’s expected. Death by a thousand cuts.

I made this because I’m trying to close a chapter in my head so it doesn’t keep looping forever. Some days it genuinely hurts. But I’m learning myself, listening to others, and trying to find healing in this strange world: one lesson at a time.

It’s a long journey for me. I’m carrying a lot: some things I’m actively unlearning, some things I’m still trying to repair, and some things I’ll probably always have to live with instead of "solve" But I’m still here. I’m still choosing myself. I’m not giving up.

Be kind to each other. You don’t know what anyone is carrying. Stay safe, and try to love each other a little more. 💜
